Yusef advises Amira to keep her baby a secret from the Masoods. He continues his scheming by suggesting Syed stop trying to contact his ex-wife and concentrate on his relationship with Christian. Yusef’s enraged when Zainab insists there can never be anything between them and rejects his offer to accompany him to Pakistan. In response, Yusef contacts Bushra, who visits Zainab and takes great pleasure spreading gossip and revelling in her misery. On her departure, Bushra spots Christian kissing Syed as they enjoy their engagement party. Bushra reprimands Syed in front of everyone, declaring he’s disgusting. Infuriated, Zainab slaps Bushra across the face, insisting Syed isn’t disgusting – Bushra is. Meanwhile, everyone is unaware that Amira has just got off the tube - she’s back in Walford. Shaken to realise everyone has witnessed her outburst, Zainab flees inside. Yusef follows her and takes her in his arms. They’re soon kissing passionately.

Heather and Fatboy realise that today marks Dot’s 50 years of service at the laundrette. With her boss not doing anything to commemorate the occasion the pair organise a party with the help of Rose, Cora and Whitney. At the launderette, Dot is visibly touched when they give her a present, a trip to Ireland and a gold plaque commemorating 50 years of service for Dorothy Branning.

Anthony is making business plans but Tyler is preoccupied with thoughts of Whitney. Alfie gives the pair relationship advice but Kat wastes no time in telling them to do the exact opposite of whatever Alfie says.

Tanya tells Lauren she needs to have some fun. Syed expresses doubt to Janine over the importance of marriage. Cora and Rose gossip about Yusef and Zainab’s relationship.
