David and Lucy
David hopes to impress his bride-to-be Lucy by arranging a wedding based on her favourite book, Pride and Prejudice, despite knowing nothing about the classic text.
David from Derby is a nurse specialising in healing wounds. It's his job to convince patients to try a less than conventional type of treatment. Whereas his bride-to-be Lucy is a brainy law student and prefers being a good old-fashioned bookworm.
David is so keen to impress Lucy that he's decided to take on her favourite story of Pride and Prejudice and turn it into reality on their wedding day. Despite knowing nothing about Pride and Prejudice, he plans to base the wedding around this Jane Austen classic love story. It's the perfect opportunity to prove he can engage with her love of literature and try and match her intelligence.
But Lucy dreams of something a bit more 21st-century traditional, so can this groom win her over by taking on her favourite love story? Can David from Derby turn himself into Mr Darcy?
