Episode 3 of 6
Mark Stephen follows the pilgrimage of St Ninian to Whithorn, Scotland's cradle of Christianity. Along the way, he visits a disastrous WW1 flying school and a psychedelic funhouse.
Mark looks at the plans to reinstate the pilgrimage of St Ninian from Glasgow through Ayrshire and all the way to Whithorn. Along the way he'll be asking how local historians are using ancient maps and place names to chart a route that hasn't existed for 500 years as well as visiting significant sites along the way like Crossraguel Abbey outside Maybole.
En route Mark will also be finding out about a doomed WWI flying school and how a psychedelic funhouse came and went from the prom in Grivan.
