Ruby's cousin Bel comes to visit and, as she is a doctor, Inder applauds everything she says. Ruby attempts to pull off the best party ever in her new role as event planner.

Bored pharmacist Ruby Chadha dreams of being an entrepreneur. But dad Inder wants her to ditch her crazy schemes, go out on a date with a graduate, and find a new enthusiasm for staking crates of mouthwash and dispensing methadone. Will Ruby succeed in marketing her new board game, or be tempted into a more conventional life by the tall boy with the 2:1? Ruby stars Mina Anwar in the title role, with Julia Deakin as Carmen, Sanjeev Kohli as Inder and Donald Macleary as Jake.
