Charley is proud that a tomato has grown on his tomato plant, but he is too scared to put the plant outside - what if the birds eat it? Charley becomes a scarecrow on a farm, scaring away all the birds and animals. But he doesn't want them to go hungry, so he shares his sandwiches with them.
