Taghaidhean a' Chinn-suidhe ann am Belarus

Tha Belarus, a tha cuid a faicinn mar "an deachdaireachd mu dheireadh san Roinn Eòrpa", anns na seachdainean mu dheireadh do dh'iomairt taghaidh a' chinn-suidhe. Tha an aon fhear – Alexander Lukashenko - air a bhith os cionn na dùthcha airson sia bliadhna deug, agus tha casaidean air a bhith ann nach robh taghaidhean agus cunntasan cothromach, rud a tha an riaghaltas a' dol às àicheadh. Ach tha deichnear a-nise a' seasamh airson dreuch a' chinn-suidhe air an naoidheamh latha deug dhan Dùbhlachd – an e comharra a th' ann gu bheil cùisean ag atharrachadh? Agus a bheil muinntir na dùthcha a' coimhead airson fear-riaghlaidh ùr, seach am fear a tha mòran a' faicinn mar athair na dùthcha.
Presidential elections in Belarus

Belarus, which has been described as "the last dictatorship in Europe", and an "outpost of tyranny", is in the final weeks of a presidential campaign. With ten candidates now registered for the upcoming presidential election on 19th December, is this a sign that things are changing? And do the people of Belarus really want to replace the man whom many see as the father of the country?
