Stuart Maconie talks to the musicians and singers behind the hit and miss, cheap and cheerful 'Top Of The Pops' branded albums of the 1970s.

A firm favourite of many a record counter in Woolworths, the covers usually featured a glamourous female model of the era.

But it was the impersonations of the likes of Donna Summer, David Essex, Paper Lace and Queen which made these vinyl LP's one of the best-selling products in the charts.
