Spain's Jorge Lorenzo has opened up a commanding lead at the top of the standings and victory here will take him one step nearer his first MotoGP championship title. However, the Yamaha rider will be well aware of the threat his countryman Dani Pedrosa poses. Defending champion Valentino Rossi is another one to watch after recovering from his nasty accident in Italy two months ago.
