Joseph is still tormented over Faye and Linden's relationship. When he is unable to operate in theatre, Faye realises she must finally tell him the truth.

Oliver tries to dump Chrissie, but discovers it is her birthday; how can he hurt her feelings? But Chrissie is far more worried about something else.

Penny tries to do her best for Maria and the Kendals, but seriously puts her foot in it over a hasty diagnosis; Ric is not impressed.
