Linden finds it hard to move on from Faye, but realises he may have a new project in Oliver. Spurred on by her sense of competition, Penny tries to assert herself.
Linden is still tormented over his feelings for Faye and, in a foul mood, he takes it out on Oliver, his new protege, who hardly deserves such cruel treatment.
Penny tries to be as good a doctor as her brother, but realises she cannot cope without help from someone.
And Elliot tries hard to avoid celebrating his 50th birthday, as he hates surprise parties - or so he says...
