Mississippi Burning

Powerful drama starring Gene Hackman. Two FBI agents with contrasting backgrounds investigate the murder of three civil rights workers in a small Mississippi township.

In the summer of 1964 three young civil rights workers disappear in a small Mississippi township. The FBI are brought in to investigate what turn out to be brutal murders. As local bigots, police and the Ku Klux Klan oppose the FBI, more and more agents are called on to tackle the near civil war. But Agent Anderson - an unorthodox ex-Sheriff - uses less convential means to get to the truth.
