Michael and Ric struggle to persuade Annalese to fight for her career, Tom tries to convince Ric he is a good doctor, and Elliot puts his job on the line.
Annalese is suspended and may be charged with murder; Michael and Ric try to dissuade her from destroying her career and taking full blame for Hewitt's death.
Ric discovers Tom's research is fake. His doubts about Tom's dedication to the job are confirmed when Tom makes a serious mistake with a patient.
Elliot breaks all the rules by insisting on operating on a very hairy patient. Meanwhile, Rachel has to come to terms with her first dead body.
