Drama focused on the friendship between a high-functioning autistic woman, Linda, and a man who is traumatised after a fatal car accident. Ex-convict Alex Hughes picks up a hitchhiker called Vivienne while driving to Winnipeg to see an old friend. She is killed when Hughes's car crashes, and he decides to seek out her mother.
