Messiaen Programme

BBC Singers perform Messiaen's Cinq Rechants and its companion, Jolivet's Epithalame, widely regarded as one of the most difficult choral pieces ever written.

As part of the 2008 Olivier Messiaen centenary celebrations, Aled Jones considers the choral legacy of the French composer, together with his successor at Paris's church of La Sainte Trinite, Naji Hakim. The BBC Singers perform Messiaen's Cinq Rechants and its companion, Jolivet's Epithalame, widely regarded as one of the most difficult choral pieces ever written.
