The BBC Symphony Orchestra conclude their concert with Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, which is inspired by medieval poetry and takes 13th century poems on subjects such as fortune, the return of spring and the perils of gluttony and drinking, and has a score featuring large orchestra, full choir, children's choir and soloists.
