Lucinda Lambton reports on the struggles to save unfashionable 1960s and 1970s buildings in danger of demolition. From 2008.

Concrete council-flats, brutalist office-blocks, modernist monsters, the architecture that seemed so modern and confident in its day now looks - to most people - shabby, unfriendly or downright ugly.

Much of it has already been cleared away, and much more is scheduled to go.

Yet, even as the bulldozers rev up and the wrecking balls prepare to swing, a few anguished voices are crying "No!"

Lucinda Lambton reports on the struggle to save buildings from the 1960s and the 1970s that are now unfashionable and in danger of demolition.
