To mark 50 years to the day since Ralph Vaughan Williams's death, the Proms celebrates his life and music in a programme featuring the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andrew Davis. The magical soundworld of the Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis for string orchestra is followed by the narrative ballet Job.
