World number two Phil Mickelson was denied a first Scottish Open win by Frenchman Gregory Havret in a sudden-death play-off last year and the American returns again this year. Also hoping to lift the trophy is two-time Scottish Open champion Ernie Els and Lee Westwood, who capped his return to form by finishing third in last month's US Open.
