Swashbuckling adventure about a country-bred young man who dreams of becoming a Musketeer only to find that they have been disbanded by order of Cardinal Richelieu. He soon becomes involved in an attempt to avert war between England and France, his native country. Based loosely on the book by Alexandre Dumas.
