Heroes of Helmand

The story of the first Battallion of the Royal Regiment, who after six months of fighting in Afghanistan, journey to Buckingham Palace to have their heroism rewarded.

The first Battallion of the Royal Regiment endured six months of hell in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

Nine men were killed and scores wounded. With the help of dramatic combat footage, Robert Lindsay tells the story of an emotional journey from the battlefield to Buckingham Palace where the men's heroism will be honoured.
