If the race is anywhere near as exciting as last year's, then motorcycling fans will be in for a real treat. Valentino Rossi started on pole but Casey Stoner hit the front on the first lap and a nip-and-tuck battle between the pair ensued, with the lead changing hands several times. However, the Australian held on before going on to claim his first MotoGP title.
