Loosely based on a true story, in 1972 a disturbed salesman (Sean Penn) plots to kill the then US President Richard Nixon by hijacking a plane and attacking the White House.

This story of a disturbed furniture salesman who plotted in 1972 to kill the then US President Richard Nixon is based loosely on real life events. Blaming the failings of his life on the corrupt Nixon, he planned to hijack an aircraft and attack the White House in an eerie foreshadowing of the 9/11 attacks.
