Episode 1

Drama adaptation of Charles Dickens's much-loved tale of a young orphan boy. A young, unmarried woman gives birth to a baby boy, Oliver Twist. She dies, leaving a letter and a locket which are stolen by a workhouse servant. Oliver finds himself in London where he is introduced to the seductive world of Fagin and his gang and soon finds himself in trouble with the law.
