Merry Christmas

Dramatisation of a true First World War story. On Christmas Eve 1914, soldiers from opposing sides met peacefully in No Man's Land to play football. Starring Diane Kruger.

On Christmas Eve 1914, while one of the bloodiest conflicts in human history continued, many battalions of the Western Front called an unauthorized truce. Soldiers met peacefully in No Man's Land to share food, play football and sing carols. This film dramatises French, British and German soldiers celebrating, with some superiors turning a blind eye and others infuriated.
