Small Presses, Big Ideas

Phill Jupitus discovers how any poet can rub stanzas with great writers via small-circulation poetry magazines. From 2007.

Anyone with a verse and the price of a stamp can rub stanzas with the greats thanks to small-circulation poetry magazines.

Phill Jupitus visits Liverpool starting at the News From Nowhere bookshop and the Manchester Literature Festival, to find out why these have been so important - and what it is that inspires the people who create them.

Producer Geoff Bird

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in December 2007.
