Matt calls in the experts.

Elizabeth's upset when Usha tells her there's no way she can get out of appearing as a valuable witness in Taylor's defence. Elizabeth doesn't know how she's going to face Kathy.

Annabelle tells Matt that last night's meeting of the environmental group was very useful; knowing what they're up against gives them a better chance to fight it. Matt flirts with Annabelle over lunch. When talk turns to Christmas, Annabelle suggests whisking Lilian away to Stephen Chalkman's Cornish hideaway, but Matt's more interested in what Annabelle's plans are.

Nigel drops in on Kathy to see how she is and she opens up to him about how she's feeling about Elizabeth being Taylor's witness. Nigel's supportive and says she should take as much time off work as she needs.

Later Kenton looks after Kathy and encourages her to come into Borchester for some lunch. Kathy makes a decision about work. She can see Nigel and Elizabeth both care about her and she's not going to let Taylor ruin her job - so she's going to take another day off, then she's going back to work.
