Widely misrepresented as a patriotic conformist, the great poet was a passionate dissident, a political artist deeply at odds with his country whose ideas were formed by the turbulent history of the time.

Contributors include Blake's biographer Peter Ackroyd and poet and critic Tom Paulin.
