Pat goes to see Kenton, very worried about Kathy, and telling him that she really needs a break. Kenton is way ahead of her. He has organised time off for Kathy, and fixed up for Sid to have Jamie. He's going to take her off somewhere lovely. Pat is impressed and wonders where they're going. Kenton hasn't decided yet. He asks Pat not to tell Kathy, as he wants to surprise her.

Jack goes for his regular memory check with the doctor at the hospital. He finds it distressing when he can't perform the tasks correctly, and Peggy and the doctor soothe him down. They go for lunch to Grey Gables afterwards. Lilian is very concerned about her mum, and is beginning to rally the family around. She tells Peggy she really must ask for help whenever she needs it. They are all ready and waiting to do whatever she wants.
