Bonfire Night lacks some spark for Will.

It's busy at The Bull, as it always is for bonfire night. Clarrie and Fallon are in control in the bar. Peggy has brought Jack along, because he's always loved it. However, he gets very upset by the loud bangs. He hides in the toilet, and Ed has to go and get him out. Jack is quite aggressive - he's frightened, thinking he's back in the war, with all the loud bangs reminding him of air raids. Ed talks him down, and Peggy takes him back home. She's upset that he's caused such a fuss.

Will and Nic don't go to the Ambridge bonfire this year - they take the children to Hollerton fireworks instead. Will knows Clarrie was upset, but since she doesn't get on with Nic he thinks it's for the best. But he's a bit subdued at the fireworks and Nic knows why. It wasn't the same for him. He tells her not to worry, it's not her problem. But Nic is still concerned.
