Interested parties from the church go to St John's in Felpersham, where they have successfully removed the pews. Shula tells Christine that Phil is taking Jill out for a surprise meal tomorrow - to the Station Hotel, where they had one of their first meals out together fifty years and more ago.

At the church, they notice how light it seems, and the space is nice, but Christine and Bert didn't really warm to the look of the place.

Roy and Hayley have had a scan - all's well with the baby. Kathy comes by, and Lynda asks for a lift home, since the weather is so bad. She invites Lynda in for a coffee, and Lynda takes the opportunity to ask her about Owen, wondering if Kathy had any problem with him. Kathy is very upset, and Lynda feels awful, but tells Kathy if she ever wants to talk - well, Lynda will support her in any way she can.
