Sid's mind isn't on his work at the Bull. Jolene finally takes him aside to speak to him. He's worried his interview with the police went badly, and he made things worse for Kathy, sounding like a jealous ex-husband. Fallon and Jolene discuss Fallon's plan to give Ed a fantastic birthday present. They decide Fallon needs to lure him back to the Bull if she wants to get him on his own.

Emma is regaling Calum with Ambridge gossip. Calum thinks it sounds an exciting place - he'd love to go for a drink there at the weekend but Emma says he'd find it boring. Will phones as George won't eat his dinner. Calum hears Emma mentioning someone called George, but she says he's just a maintenance man.

Brian's being unusually nice to Adam, and Adam's suspicious. When the rain stops him drilling a field, Adam heads to the Bull for lunch. Brian eventually finds him there and talks about taking Jennifer away. Adam's pleased until he realises that Brian plans to send Ruairi to stay with his grandmother, rather than to Honeysuckle Cottage. Brian insists this is the logical solution, but Adam tells Brian not to insult his intelligence.
