Lynda's prayers are answered at St Stephen's.

It's a slow start to the Churchyard open day. Phil and Bert's thoughts are clearly with their runner beans being judged in the flower and produce show. When they sneak off, Lynda is left to show Mike round. Up in the tower they notice a chaotic scene at the village hall. A burst water pipe has caused a mass evacuation and there's only one place to go - everything decamps to the church. Lynda turns chaos to order with a hastily conceived plan.

Bert's convinced that Derek Fletcher has swapped the tickets round on the runner beans. Admitting that Bert's beans were definitely the pick of the bunch, Phil swaps the tickets back again and the best man wins. Bert appreciates Phil's gesture, and promises him a pint for being such a good loser.

Lynda is delighted that the disaster has got so many people into the church - the day turns out to be a great success.

Emma tries to casually tell Will that she had such a good time on Friday but Will doesn't pick up on the hints. In the end, Emma drops it out that she's got a date tomorrow night - someone she met on Friday and nobody Will would know.
