Mike decides to take the plunge.

Hayley encourages a nervous Mike to ring Wendy. Having advised him what to say she then makes a sharp exit to deal with her morning sickness. Mike gets on fine with Wendy on the phone and arranges to meet her at the Bull later in the week. He gratefully tells Hayley that he can handle it on his own from now on.

Ruth and David get their Farm Open Day programme from the Country Trust and talk through their plans. David hopes the day's not going to be too much extra work but Ruth is happy to organise it - all he has to do is turn up. Later, after seeing all the work Ruth's putting into the preparations, he wonders if four hours is going to be long enough to fit it all in.

Emma's thoughtful when Kirsty comments that Fallon's been on the computer all morning searching for a present for Ed's birthday. After Emma mentions that Hayley cancelled going out on Saturday due to a bug, Kirsty suggests having a girls' night with Emma and Brenda Emma's adamant that they should have a proper night out to a club in Felpersham - they're going on the pull!
