Alice takes off in a new direction.

Alice and Amy have a clash of opinions when, on a shopping trip, they see the RAF handing out information about joining the forces. Alice is interested - although Amy insists that the RAF are just soulless killing machines.

Hayley tells Brenda that she's thinking of encouraging Mike to join a local dance class: after all, he got so much out of his time teaching Lilian. Brenda agrees that it's a good idea, so Hayley decides to do all the research before suggesting it to Mike - giving him less hope of a back-out if she already has all the information.

Alice goes to dinner at Honeysuckle Cottage, but is shocked when Adam gives her a piece of his mind about her treatment of Jennifer. He firmly tells Alice that she's being unfair, and that the way she's behaving is destroying their mother. He can understand why she can't forgive Brian: but Alice needs to grow up - and stop blaming Jennifer for things that are not her fault. Alice is upset - but left with food for thought.
