Alan Hamilton has an enviable life. He's got a good job and two sons with the childhood sweetheart he still adores, Tricia.

But one evening, he steps out in front of a car and in a split second everything changes. He's left with a brain injury that completely transforms his personality. He may look like Alan but he's not the Alan that Tricia married.

As he swings from aggressive, to childlike to sexually inappropriate Tricia has to ask herself whether she can stand by this stranger. And - the hardest thing to face - whether life would have been better if he'd never woken up.
