Two single-parent families, the Butterworths from urban Leeds and the Hulls from an Essex village, volunteer to exchange lives for a week, swapping homes, pets, jobs, schools, diet and even house rules. Maggi goes to her first ever fox hunt whilst Anne teaches a cookery class. Kerri and Johnny swap places for the day, while Eki and Rafe go to school in place of Christina and Johnny.
