Arrange Me a Marriage

Using Asian culture's own built-in introduction service - friends and family - Glaswegian businesswoman Aneela aims to help 39-year-old Helen Dunn find a partner for life.

Happily married, Glaswegian businesswoman, Aneela, aims to help one of Britain’s legions of unmarried Brits, 39 yr old Helen Dunn, find a partner for life. She uses some of the traditional methods of Asian arranged marriage with her own unique, modern twist. This is not a dating show; Aneela is showing us that Asian culture has its own built-in introduction service, when it comes to finding someone – called friends and family.

Aneela's tough-love process is intended to force Helen to start taking responsibility for her situation and to shift her mindset from dating to marriage. The things that Aneela thinks are really important are education, family, class, goals, earning potential and attraction. These are tough things for Helen to absorb with previous boyfriends including an Athena model and an illegal immigrant.

Aneela takes Helen's friends and family in hand gets them out networking and on the look out for the right guy. This is where the fun really starts, as she shows repressed middle England how to overcome shyness and probe for man-information. Can Aneela turn Helen’s prospects of lasting happiness around?
