John is a lively Welsh character with a small, packed jungle for a garden and is building a desert garden with a large painted skyscape as a backdrop. Susie at Lyford Grange has a traditional English garden, large and sprawling with old walls and water features, and is planting up her imposing front border in yellow and blue.
