Preschool stop-frame animation about Pingu, a young penguin who is always up to mischief. Pingu's companions include his sister Pinga, his friend Robby the seal and his caring mother and father.
Seeing a seagull in flight makes Pingu want to fly. He and Robby try some ingenious ways of getting Pingu off the ground. None are successful until a balloon seller supplies Pingu with some helium balloons. A scary flight makes Pingu realise that being grounded is the best way for a penguin to be.
