Abstract expressionism revolutionised American painting in the 1940s, but with it came fame and stress for Pollock. Saved by fellow painter Lee Krasner from self-doubt, impotent rage and drunkeness, it is only a matter of time before he again finds himself hurtling towards self-destruction.
