Exodus

Drama. A Haganah officer (Paul Newman) seizes a ship to help Holocaust survivors get from Cyprus to Palestine, but the vessel is blockaded in a Cypriot harbour by British warships.

Visiting a friend of her late husband in Cyprus, Kitty Fremont is persuaded to work as a nurse in one of the camps holding the Holocaust survivors turned back from the British Mandate of Palestine. A young Haganah officer seizes a ship to take the Jewish refugees to Palestine, and gradually Kitty is drawn into the struggle for the partition of the country.
