Chocolat

Postwar romance about a mysterious woman who moves to a provincial French town with her daughter to set up a chocolate shop. When she opens on Sundays, the Catholic townspeople are scandalised but also sufficiently tempted by her choice confections to confide in her as they succumb to her many charms. Whilst she helps the locals with their own passions they never knew they had, the woman finds herself falling in love with a visiting gypsy.
