Children at the Writing Academy are asked to write a funny story using a number of different humorous devices, such as exaggeration or word-play. Helped by bestselling children's author Jacqueline Wilson and inspired by a hilarious but disgusting episode of Roald Dahl's The Twits, they come up with a variety of different ideas, including a comic strip story about a chicken called Cow.
