A US destroyer and a German U-Boat play a deadly game of cat and mouse in the icy waters of the North Atlantic.
An American destroyer picks up the signal of a German U-Boat heading for a rendezvous with its wolf pack during World War II.
A tense psychological battle ensues between the commanders above and below the icy waters of the North Atlantic, each one pushing himself, his crew and his machinery to the limit in an attempt to outwit and ultimately destroy the other.
