Desperate

Film noir. A trucker accidentally becomes involved in a gang's robbery of a fur warehouse, during which a policeman is killed. When one of the gang members is captured and charged with murder, the gang realise that he has tipped off the police and brutally attack him, forcing him to flee with his wife to the country. The fugitive must keep ahead of not only the gangsters but also the police who believe him to be guilty.
