Wartime comedy in which a loyal Washington secretary defends her boss when his unorthodox methods are called into question.
Washington secretary Smokey Allard finds her office routine thrown into disarray by an unorthodox new boss who is brought in to improve the efficiency of the production of wartime bombers. His disregard for bureaucracy brings results, but is frowned upon by his superiors. When he is called to appear before an investigative committee, headed by Smokey's fiance, the loyal secretary springs to the defence of her boss.
