Taras Bulba

A Cossack chief who has sworn to be the eternal enemy of the Poles finds that his own son has fallen for a Polish beauty.

Set in 18th-century Ukraine, the dramatic tale of a Cossack chief who has sworn to be the eternal enemy of all Poles. He sends his son to Polish schools to learn the ways of their adversaries but when his son falls for a beautiful Polish girl, the father is faced with the dilemma of whether to kill his own flesh and blood as a traitor.
