Colourful circus drama in which the manager of a small travelling show decides to mount a continental tour to avert financial crisis and, at the same time, find the mother of his 14-year-old daughter. However, disaster strikes when their boat sinks in a European harbour. Having salvaged what he can, the owner declares that the show must go on and plays to huge crowds. Then a mysterious woman appears on the scene.
