Brian and Matt get conspiratorial.
Ruth and David go out together to do some fencing. Bert is carrying on with the ploughing - it's taking him ages. Ruth and David realise he's trying to avoid the long list of DIY jobs that Freda has for him now he's retired. Bert does well with the ploughing, then tells David he can pay him whenever.
Matt goes in with Brian for a whisky, while Brian picks his brains about the various ideas for the farm from Debbie. Matt thinks Debbie is on the right lines. Lilian sees his car, and drops in to see what he's up to. She turns the tables on him by producing the breathalyser and making him leave his car.
Adam is irritated that Matt has pitched in on Debbie's side - though not surprised. Adam is sure it's not the right way forward. As far as he is concerned, they are gambling with the future of the farm. How could he possibly go along with that?
