BBC broadcaster, Harry Gration, leafs through the pages of The Dalesman, the much-loved publication dedicated to life in the Yorkshire Dales.

Since its first appearance in 1939, its features, drawings and letters have reflected a changing way of life - from the days when the Dales were a closed world to the present when farms play host to long lines of ramblers and face an uncertain future.
